This application is a functional program - don't expect flash graphics or snazzy extras. What Rename Master will give you, however, is amazing control over how and what you rename, which is perfect when you have a lot of files you want to change. The program works using scripts, or lists of instructions about what to change.
Howdy soldiers. As the title suggests, I am wondering if Windows-compatible software exists to either randomize filenames, or to do something about the annoying number extensions that Windows adds when you bulk name files? Would it be possible to change that default extension, so that rather than a number, Windows would add some weirdo shit character?
Might seem a stupid question but it is my belief that most of us are more likely to be caught by people in our real life through doing something silly and careless or by bad luck, rather than through elaborate long-distance LEA operations. Of course take all of the other precautions, encrypt your drives etc, but this is a just an extra level of security for the inevitable moment/s when you shit the bed on the most obvious things.
There isn't a lot of point hiding and shit-naming all of your files if somebody can just search for "(1)" in your drive and find all of them... Of course you can individually name them but with thousands upon thousands of files that takes rather a long time...
Thank you.
