If you get the errors 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable or 403 Forbidden/Access Denied there is a connection or access problem. The file is there, but you can't reach it. The server could for example be overloaded due to too many simultaneous downloads. Please don't comment about 503 and 403 in the thread. These kinds of errors happen all the time, learn how to deal with them instead. Many posters don't return to their threads and read the replies.
Solution:
- 1. When you are on the error page, click on the onion icon to the left of the URL bar.
- 2. In the pop-up window that opens, click the blue button "New Circuit for this Site". This procedure often has to be repeated several times until it works. You can also use Crtl+Shift+L, it is the same thing.
- 3. If it still does not work, try again later.
1fichier.com
The https://1fichier.com/ host often gives you a waiting time. This can be bypassed with the method described in the first solution above. Use Crtl+Shift+L until the waiting time disappears.
datafilehost.com
If you download and get 0 KB, this could be caused by HttpsEverywhere. Check to see if you have "Encrypt All Sites Eligible" set to ON, if it is change it to OFF.
solidfiles.com
If you get the message "Your account has been banned for violating our Terms of Service" when you try to download, just try a new Tor Circuit as described above. This is a 403 error.
sendspace.com
If you download from https://www.sendspace.com/ ignore all messages to activate Javascript. It is not needed, you can download safely without turning Javascript on. Never enable Javascript in your Tor browser settings. Sometimes you are not able to see the Download button, it will look like this:
Use the same solution: Crtl+Shift+L or click the blue button "New Circuit for this Site" in your browser until it works. You should get a page that look like this:
404 error
Finally, a file is gone if you get a 404 Not Found error or if the website says that the file has been removed. If you want a re-up send a PM (Private Message) to the poster, don't ask in the thread. Many posters don't return to their threads and read the replies.
